No promised sporting, university or scholarship results.
Appropriate adult supervision is essential for children.
1. What AthletiOS provides
AthletiOS is an independently developed digital platform offering general athletics education, planning tools, training programmes, activity logs and development information. Most programme use is self-directed. Content may be informed by experienced coaches and published sporting guidance, but your individual sessions are not continuously observed or personally supervised by a coach. A generated plan is not a substitute for an in-person assessment or qualified individual coaching.
2. No guaranteed results
No improvements in speed, strength, technique, selection, rankings, scholarships, admissions or competition outcomes are guaranteed. Results depend on many factors including age, health, training experience, rest, nutrition, adherence, technique and facilities. Performance targets and projections are estimates, not promises. Published coaching backgrounds or past athlete achievements do not demonstrate that this app generated those outcomes.
3. Physical activity involves risk
Running, jumping, throwing, resistance training and plyometric exercise involve inherent risks including strains, falls, collisions and serious injury. Only train in a suitable, authorised location with appropriate space, safe equipment, environmental conditions and supervision. Never perform throwing drills where people could enter the landing area. Review all exercise instructions before beginning. Stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, chest pain, unusual breathlessness, head injury symptoms or other warning signs; seek urgent medical help when appropriate.
4. Health information and medical advice
AthletiOS is not a medical, physiotherapy, psychology, sports-dietetics, diagnostic or emergency service. Readiness scores, symptom prompts and suggested training adjustments are not medical clearance. Tell an appropriate health professional about injury, illness, pregnancy, disability-related needs, medications or conditions that may affect exercise. Obtain individual assessment and clearance where appropriate; never use a generated training block to override a clinician's instructions.
5. Children and safeguarding
Children and developing athletes need age-appropriate activities, supervision and safeguarding. A parent or legal guardian and, where appropriate, a suitably qualified coach should review and supervise sessions, equipment, facilities and changes in workload. AthletiOS does not replace responsible adult supervision. Growth, maturation, other sports and wellbeing can affect safe training loads. Guardian permissions and child-data controls must be implemented and verified before broader youth release; a child's click is not proof of parental consent.
6. Responsibilities in self-directed training
You or the responsible supervising adult must accurately enter and update athlete information, review each session for suitability, use appropriate technique and equipment, respect local venue and event rules, allow recovery and avoid exceeding the athlete's capacity. Do not rely on unsupervised exercise demonstrations as a complete technical assessment. Where a session cannot be carried out safely with your facilities or experience, do not perform it.
7. Training technology and third parties
Generated prescriptions, AI-assisted explanations, visual demonstrations, wearable data, imported results and third-party information may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Verify important details and report errors. External websites, health platforms, educational institutions and recruitment information have their own terms and privacy practices. A link or reference does not mean endorsement or affiliation.
8. College pathways and nutritional content
Information about university recruitment, athletic eligibility, scholarships and education pathways is general guidance only; no admission, eligibility decision, coach contact or funding is guaranteed. Any nutrition or recovery content is general education unless expressly delivered by a suitably qualified professional under a separate agreement. No supplements, restrictive diets or weight-loss programmes are prescribed to children through this general self-coaching service.
9. Beta limitations and changes
AthletiOS remains in beta. Features can change, stop working or be unavailable; programme content, technical demonstrations, integrations and safeguards may still require review. Do not treat a feature labelled beta as individually certified or clinically validated. Keep your own copies of important records. Report safety issues, misleading prescriptions and accessibility barriers and stop using affected features until addressed.
10. Personal data and privacy
Athlete profiles may contain sensitive information including birth dates, performance history, wellbeing, injury-related notes and linked services. Only share information you are authorised to provide. Privacy notices and consent choices must explain who operates the service, why data is collected, how it is stored, shared, retained and deleted, and how to exercise applicable rights. This disclosure is not a replacement for a complete Privacy Policy, verified guardian-consent process, or a data-processing assessment.
11. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing here excludes, restricts or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including New Zealand's Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Act where applicable. This document explains the intended scope and practical limits of a self-coaching beta service; it is not an all-purpose waiver of negligence, unlawful conduct or statutory obligations. Any future limits of liability, paid terms, disputes and governing-law clauses require appropriate legal review and must be fair, clear and enforceable.
12. Independence and intellectual property
References to World Athletics publications or international sporting standards identify independent research and technical reference points. AthletiOS is not endorsed, approved or certified by World Athletics or Olympic organisations. Their trademarks and content belong to their respective owners. Do not reproduce AthletiOS materials or third-party materials beyond permitted use.
Before starting a training block
Make sure the athlete is healthy enough for the planned activity, the exercise instructions are understandable, suitable facilities and responsible supervision are available, and the session can be stopped or modified safely.
For a potential emergency, contact local emergency services. Do not use AthletiOS for urgent medical advice.
